NASA TV are covering the launch of a Delta rocket on their TV channel RIGHT NOW.

It will be carrying a weather satellite called GOES-N.

It's due off in the next 20 minutes.

Now I've found out that all these launches are being shown live, I know what I'll be watching. Who needs TV.

Does anyone know when this was rescheduled? It was due to go early Sep - I'm pretty sure of that because I'm going to be in Florida from 25 Aug to 8 Sep and it was definately scheduled during my hols - Sep 3rd I think.

My little boy was really looking forward to seeing a launch, it looks like he's missed out.

... or maybe not! They just announced its NOT a 24hr turnaround, and new date will be rescheduled. Fingers crossed!

Are you sure it was the same mission?

The Delta is NASA's workhorse. It's amazing how difficult it is to launch a rocket, even one as tried and trusted as the Delta.

You guys seem to be picking up alot of info there. Is all that on the website somewhere or do you have sound on the video?

My video was just pictures, seemed a bit odd.

No, looking at that mission's history it was supposed to go earlier but was postponed. Maybe the one I was expecting has been bumped as a result. I admit I haven't checked the schedukes since I booked my holiday back in May! Looks like we might just miss the next shuttle launch as well. Boo-hoo!

I still haven't recovered from the time I went all the way there and the launch was cancelled at 19 seconds.
