Could it be that the little old lady had p*ssed into and old whisky bottle, popped a cork in it and is trying to pull a fast one.

At £100k whose ever going to open it and find out?

How can that price be justifed though? Is it ever going to be drunk? Bet it isn't even very nice anymore (if it was in the first place).

An interwiew with the shop owner was just on the radio here and expects it to sell to a club in the states where everyone chips in to try it. He has no-idea if it's still drinkable but believes that it should still be.

It apparently is the last bottle out of the distillery. In justifying the price, he said that a similarly rare Scotch would be more expensive again .
