Anyone See "Your life in their hands"?

What a programme. I admit I had a few tears...Watching this genious of a surgeon telling a 34 year old, fit and active guy that his cancer was basically in-operable, and that Chemothepapy was the only way forward, but with a tiny, tiny change of it being completely successful. Then another patient....Had to remove his Esophagus due to the cancer. 10 hours he was under for, in which time they collapsed a lung, moved his stomach around, and generally "did the business".
What a bloke.
I'll try not to moan about credit cards, mortgages etc too much in the future.....This kinda thing really puts things into perspective

Agree completely. Also totally in awe of how compassionate the surgeon was....some come across as real arrogant but he was a real gent and very very human!

Absolutely....What a responsibility. I know if (GOD FOBID) anything like that happened to me/family/friends etc, I'd want this guy looking after me.

The chap last week was very impressive, too. Spinal surgeon I think. They do amazing stuff.

We certainly watched it.
My Dad had that exact operation just under 3 weeks ago...

Came home Sunday. Still sore, but everythings ok.
