I saw them in Houston about nine months ago and they were excellent.

I would say that you need to know their music before you go, to get the most out of it.

Exactly.. Surely the music is the reason you go to a concert. Its not nornally like you get a great view anyhow!

Nope. Saw the Saw Doctors once at Guilfest and they were brilliant, and I'd never heard any of their stuff before. They were so good, I went to see them again!

Yeah, but chances are you would've enjoyed it more if you were familiar with the music. That was the point he was getting at.

Don't get me wrong - a good show is a good show, but all else being equal I think being familiar with the material enhances the enjoyment of a show.
