Anyone planning to watch this new show on Channel 4 tonight?

It's about the survivors of a plane wreck living on a deserted island.

I had a look at some online reviews after seeing all the ads on C4 and it's supposed to be unmissable. There really is a lot of hype about it.

Isn't it by the same guy as did 'Desperate House Wives' like it or not we'll be tuning in the Mrs loves that sort of stuff

I didn’t think much of the show as its already been aired here. Not much to do with survival and the interesting stuff.

Don't know but every review I've read compares the two shows as they're both supposed to be unmissable and the plots have everybody talking

Hopefully its not going to be like the BBC's Castaway I hoped that was going to be in this style of crashed aircraft but it was more like a commune (sp?) than a survival thing.

the original "Lost" on Channel 4 was better, shame they didn't manage to put it on at prime time as it was a really good show.

Mrs Vitesse and I will be watching it as the chap who played Marcutio in the film of Romeo and Juliet is in it.........and from the trailers there's a woman running around in just dirty, wet, bra and knickers

I've seen the entire first season.

It's good and quite entertaining - not sublime, but the chracterization (indeed, the whole plot is largely character-based) is brilliant.

There is a fantasy element to the series.

Enough good looking people in skimpy clothes to maintain the sex appeal.

Kind of a cross between Lord of the Flies, Survivor, Peter Pan. And Lord of the Rings, if only because there seems to be a lost hobbit in the cast.

I'm only on episode three of season three.

Might have to get the beer in the fridge and cook some spicy chicken wings for a monster 24 session tonight.

Very different.

24 is an action movie. Lost is a fantastical thriller drama.

Apples and oranges really. I prefer 24 but many prefer Lost. Both probably equally entertaining.

Good god. People think that 24 and such tripe is good?? I can appreciate mindless cheese action that is tongue in cheek, but 24 takes itself seriously, and is possibly the worst thing since the invention of the 'bad boy bonnet'.

24 is crap.

Until you get to the end of the first episode...

Then you're hooked!

And it is still better than Eastenders...
