Just flicking through channels (saw BBC3) and would like to know at want point in our lives, did kids kicking and screaming and being general little bastards become entertainment??

IMO, Our country needs to take a long hard look at itself cause we on a slippery slope down.

Reminds me of a South Park where there's an educational video teaching parents to control their kids (with ADD) and basically just smack them and say "sit down and listen!!"

That's "Little Angels" IIRC. Not sure I'd want to show the population that I was a failed parent, but at least they are doing something about it.. I s'pose.

little angels is an excellent program.
Quite frankly new parents of all ages should be strapped down and made to watch it.
Sexy Dr.Tanya Byron is a brilliant child psychologist and her methods do really work.

There are too many programmes about out of control children. Those parents have a lot to answer for.

I don't have kids and these shows are a good reminder why (soon dissolves that broody feeling).

Can we have more motoring shows please (I only have terrestrial tv )

My mother found that there was nothing a wooden spoon wouldn't sort out...

I'd use it on my kids (i.e. as a threat - and very last resort) as it gains respect - if they know that it's gonna hurt then they stop.

I certainly stopped whatever I was up to if the spoon was brandished...

Bollocks to all the namby pamby 'shouldn't smack children' crap.

In the meantime the goverment taxes the fertility out of the middle classes, in order to breed a race of benefit dependant easily controlled idiots, who watch cr*p like this
