On holiday a few years ago in Portugal I woke up very early one morning, and not being able to get back to sleep went out on the balcony of our room to watch the sunrise which was just starting; it was around 5:30am. Our balcony overlooked the pool (which was very crowded every day) and to my disbelief, there I spotted in the faint dawn light, a fat German in Speedos and vest placing towels on two sun loungers before returning to his room. My naturally British sense of fair play offended, and the fact that it was only about 1 minute from our room to the pool, there was only one option.
It was very satisfying lying on my sun lounger later to see the fat Kraut git and his horrifically ugly wife come down much later to discover that not only were all the sunbeds gone (including the ones he 'reserved'), but after looking round a good deal to notice his towels submerged in the pool.

Following which, with a running barge, you kicked them both in the pool?
My gf being a fit little Italian always like an early morning swim on hols when the pool is nice and empty which she goes for whilst I lounge around in bed.

.....the next morning she went down to the pool for her swim, and found, you guessed it, the pool was full of Germans swimming up and down in all 4 lanes!!! No room for her......not a happy little bunny when she came back to the room.

Identical thing occured when I was on holiday a few years ago, the only difference being that the guy who drowned the towels was a 6 foot 4 RUC officer. The fat german became a lot less agressive when he saw the size of the culprit
I have to say that British people are every bit as bad as the Germans for doing this!
On the last 5 holidays I have been on, 98% of the hotel guests have been British and every morning they've been out there putting their towels on the loungers. They even do it when they're going out for the day, which is well out of order IMO.

Not long after I started work at Germany's largest bank, said German bank bought a US bank, Bankers Trust. Apparently, the day after hearing this the traders at BT brought beach towels into work and placed them on their chairs so that the Germans wouldn't nick their places
