Guys

At the moment I'm using Whey Protein Isolate powder, mixed with milk - I've tried a few brands and although some are more gentle on the tastebuds than others, it's still a case of choosing the lesser of the evils.

Do any of you guys have tried & tested recipes for decent protein shakes?

Or even links to such?

Well... I'm using VP2 Whey Protein Isolate - Vanilla Flavour. However it's also available in Chocolate and Fruit Punch flavours (depending on where you get it from!)

Actually tastes OK, although I tend to choose supplements based on their content rather than the taste

Hope this helps

Always found the Maximuscle very good, only tried the chocolate flavour though. Also mixes with water instead of milk so not so bloating.

I used Whey Protein while I had my jaws wired after surgery. This stuff tastes great and made fab milkshakes when mixed with added ice cream or greek/live yoghurt.

I got it from these guys and the service was great too! Got the stuff the day after I ordered it.

Holland nad Barret do a decent Strawberry one you can mix with milk, water or juice (yuk). I use it because if you wait they have it in their 'better than half price sale' and I stock up!

You can take the boy out of yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the boy!

Another vote for Holland and Barrett Whey Protein...still tastes horrible, but it's cheap and mixes well with a bit of Nesquik for flavour.

edited to say...

On second thoughts, I've just had a glass, the first for a while, and I think I'd rather eat a whole chicken...live.
