Spoof emails concerning Paypal.

Don't EVER respond to any e-mails supposedly from e-Bay OR Paypal, contact THEM yourself, as they are nearly always scams, designed to obtain your personal information...........

I always forward them on to paypal,they stand out a mile.

One way to tell is paypal and ebay ALWAYS use your full name whereas spoofs are addressed to "ebay/paypal customer"

I get these occasionally, I always report them to either Paypal or Ebay.

I don't even have a paypal account and received one informing me of Vixpy-esque type purchase for $1,916.51 GBP

i very nearly got caught out with a spoof paypal email as it looked so frigging authentic, alarm bells should ring if they dont refer to you by name but as "paypal member", the normal scam is that they claim they are rejigging the site and need your credit card details to re register you.

Whenever i get them i just check out the main site to check it. The last one i had was saying that someone had tried to log in to ebay from a different computer, but when checked on the main ebay site there was nothing so just forwarded it to them
