I remember a few years ago when there was a spate of suspect parcels (during IRA bombings IIRC) a parcel was found on the door step of a police station.

One controlled exposion later, the parcel was examined and 3 somewhat burnt kittens were found...

at our local post office in devon many years back, large parcel arrives from Ireland to non existent address... Post lady gets concerned and calls police, polic examine parcel but will not open as there seems to be some foil protruding from box.

Bomb squad arrives and does controlled expolsion in car park.

Box contents - over 3000 different coloured condoms there were bits of rubber blowing around that car park for weeks after

....
