Waxers or Racers?

Whats your preference,ive noticed some getting real serious about this but does it realy matter,why is waxing considered Anal to the so called "Racers"?
Just interested on the views from both sides.

it was just something ive picked up on over the years,seems some like to wax and others like to race but some racers seem to belittle the waxers,like i say just something ive noticed.

Also chatting to a guy recently who owned a MR2 mk1,he mentioned that the Mk1 owners were seen as the oily fingernail brigade,and the newer type owners were the cream tea mob and that there seemed to be a certain divide that exist amongst enthusiasts,ive noticed the same sort of mood in the wax and racer world.

Im sure he meant waxes vs razors, referring to the back sack and crack posts I prefer neither as my crack and sack are happiest when not stripped of their manfluff
