US comics

I have got to renew my house insurance soon and I have a large collection of us comics from 1960 x-men to late 1990's comics (sin city, Hellboy etc). I need to get them valued but am not sure where I can get this done.

Anyone got any idea of companys that deal with comics.

i know wizard used to print a comic guide price, but unless its super/spiderman 1st issue. probably not worth much

Depends on a lot of a factors. If you have a lot then they might still be collectively worth something.

I've no idea how you would go about valuing them. Perhaps a local collectors club or something?

Search for them on eBay, watch the auctions and see what they go for?

I have searched e-bay and I have a many that cost upwords of &40-50 each. thats why I was thinking of finding someone who knows how to price them correctly

I've been through the same thing and it's surprising how much some of the 60s DC and Marvel are worth. You need to get a copy of the Overstreet Comics Price Guide or alternatively look at:

www.comicspriceguide.com.

I've also scanned the front and back covers of all my valuable comics just in case the insurance company questions anything, and also to prove the grade and worth.
