Apparently the words "Beam me up Scotty" were never said by Kirk, it was something made up after the show was axed.

According to Uncle John's Great Big Bathroom Reader (a brilliant addition after reading Schotts original Miscellany too many times).

It was in something like the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Well 85 is a good age but its not easy when a great icon like him dies
