Plane ticket to Oz; how to get rid of !!??

Hi all

I'm wondering how to get rid of a plane ticket that I've bought for 31July from London to Sydney via JapanAir.

Now I don't normally make a habit of randomly purchasing expensive flights so this isn't great :scratchchin: :biggrin:

MrsEd22 now has to go out to Oz in October, and can't do both.

Thing is, JAL will charge £540 cancellation fees as we're within 2 weeks of departure. Arse...the ticket only cost £670! It was one of the last at that price; a fare will cost about £970 now cos opf summer hols......

Other than ebay ,any ideas on how to get rid of it??

I don't think tickets are transferable. Maybe claim a broken leg and claim refund on travel insurance?

cant you change them to a later date (for a fee of course, but usually less than a cancellation.

You might need a doctor's note, and broken legs are hard to fake. Ear infections are far easier
