Had my wallet stolen !

Came back to my locker after playing squash to find the lock broken and my wallet gone.:mad:

Just spent an hour ringing round to cancel my cards and report it to the police.:mad:

Luckily my phone was in the car - but my car keys were in the locker (reg no. on the fob) but they weren't taken. Fiat Multipla obviously not to their taste.

CCTV is so cheap now that I'm amazed leisure centres and the like don't install it in places like locker rooms.
Someone may then have recognised the scrote..

They probably saw car theft as a step too far, which was lucky. I always left my stuff in the boot when I went to the health club. Shouldn't bloody have to, but you never know.

Indeed. A colleage of mine went to football training and left his wallet and keys in the pocket of his trackybums.

An opportunist took the wallet and keys (to a Alfa 156 bought 2 weeks before) and drove the car out of the car park, right in front of the training. No one noticed.

Not only did he lose his wallet and his car, but his laptop was in the back, all his business papers and contacts, his mobile phone, his filofax, his girlfriends necklace, his i-pod, his house keys....

Car and contents were never found.

Bit silly if you ask me. He had a rather embarrassing meeting with the boss the next day!

Re the cctv in the locker business, I had £500 knicked from my locker a few months back. When I asked about cctv in the areas, I was told it was illegal!!

I had mine stolen out of the car a few years ago.

5 years after it was stolen - everything cancelled on the night, plod turned up at the door, asking me for id. My old driving licence had been found on a girl arrested for something!! I'd kept the crime no etc, and had a full record of things. Amazing how somethings turn up years later!

A friend of mine didn't have his wallet stolen, but had a credit card 'removed'. He doesn't use it very often, and was 2-3 days before he discovered it missing. Caused loads of hassle.
