No not the magazine...

Here in South Shields, we are having what i think, is the hottest day ever. know, im not complaining about this, but there are some things that annoy me about people and the heat. here they are:

1) For 3 seasons of the year people want it to be hot, then as soon as the heat comes in summer, they start complaining about it!

2) Why isnt england prepared for hot weather? i mean how many buildings actually have air con? well 0 that i have been in today.

Well sorry bout this, i had to get it off my chest.

Lightweight! Aircon’s for woosses mate. My place it Malta hasn’t got it. I love the heat. I especially like finding a quite spot out on the cliffs by the coast in the mid afternoon August sun. I swear you can actually feel the pressure of the heat pushing your shoulders down and hear a furnace like rumbling in the silence.

Great way to loose weight as well

It is lovely in Newcastle today. I have just been for a walk down the Quayside, some great views(and I don't mean the Sage or the Millennium Bridge)

Mrs GMan is on holiday for 4 weeks, so she is lying in our back garden in Boldon, catching some rays and knowing her getting p****d!!

or failing that seaton sluice is a better bet for solitude, and if you want the best picture postcard experience then tynemouth is the way forward IMHO followed by a pint or nine in the Grand

If you want to see some nice motorcars then take a trip to the wellington in riding mill (down the A695 about 15 miles past blaydon towards hexham) and there you will usually find a few fit waitresses () and a few ferraris, lamborghinis and the like. oh, and the beer is exemplary

Can't stand working in the heat.

But unlike other people who complain about cold or rain the rest of the year I don't.

It can be a cold and rainy June and all I will say is 'good working weather this'

I have't drunk in Whitley Bay since I was 18.

I'm out tonight with the lads from work again. We are off to Stereo for a few, so it should be a good night.

I'll have try the Wellington.

I love the summer!!!!!

I don't.For 3 seasons of the year I complain about it not being cold enough and it not being as cold as it used to be, then in summer I just die. Hate summer. Love winter. Each to their own

I don't mind it hot - I just hate it when its humid. A good dry heat is fab. Conversely I also love torrential rain, blizzards, gale force winds and huge storms! (But not at the same time!)

I flipping love it, nearly crashed into a women yesterday whilst doing some intercar flirting, i'm sure the heat instantly makes it mating season. So many sunshine shielas around

Yeah, have to agree. I can handle a dry heat (have been in a good dry 52 degrees before and it wasn't too bad) but the humidity is the real killer.

All the extremes youmention are great though, provided you are properly prepared or close to home. Have cycled home from town in a thunderstorm wearing a t-shirt on my top half anf loved it, because I knew I could dry off as soon as I got in.

Snow is by far and away my favourite though.

When I was little we lived in Cyprus, and my Dad would sit with me on the flat roof of our house watching the storms over the troodos mountains...happy days.

I love hot, dry days in summer, they are great but there never seem to be enough

However I detest the other things that summer brings. Hay feaver, wasps and hot humid weather
