Am going to a garden party this evening , somewhere near Embankment.

So what are these people about ?

Am I likely to get involved in some hot pursuit escapade across Europe in Dan Brown / de Vinci style ? Or are they just some charity organisation ?

All barristers have to become a member of one of the 4 Inns in London as they each have law libraries to use. It's actually quite nice in that it doesn't feel like central London.

For what it's worth, I'm getting married at Temple Church in February next year (as I am a member of Middle Temple) followed by a knee's up in Middle Temple (which is annexed to Inner Temple - Gray's Inn is on Gray's Inn Road and Lincoln's Inn is on Chancery Lane).
