Right. Flying out 730am monday morning.
Picking tickets up at the airport so have no tickets to check check-in details with!!
When we booked the holiday (only last week!) I swear the guy said get there before 530am. Therefore I assumes that check-in closes at 530am. Someone said it's more likely to open at 530 but to me that seems a bit late!
Which is it likely to be?!!!

Depends where you're going - need more details 
Some check-ins will close 30 mins before departure. Some will close 40 mins before departure. Some will close 1 hour before. Some will require you to be checked in 2 hours before flight time.
Getting an e-ticket takes 2 minutes, providing the machine works.
Current security levels will most likely mean transfer from check-in to departures is longer than normal.

Check-in times: the desk closes 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight. easyJet recommends checking in two hours before departure.

As someone who works behind the scenes at Manchester airport..............get there as early as you can.
Check-in may close half an hour before the flight BUT you will not have your luggage on the same plane.
All the 'budget' airlines like to keep their costs low. They do this by reducing their staffing. The bags go out to the plane @ 40-30 minutes before departure. Whilst someone may well be manning the baggage chute it does not follow that there is someone available to take an individual bag out to the plane.
Any less than an hour before departure is asking for trub.
A salutary lesson for travellers......travel with an ordinary bag. Not over big, not very small. Not roundish or very flat. Anything out of the ordinary has to go via the 'out of guage' system. Which means that someone has to make a special trip to get it. At peak times that means...no-one to get it coz the public so loves cheap travel that they forget that means cheap manning levels too.
