Yup, I've got it... Runny eyes, shivering and everything aches, just in time for the weekend too. I was fine when I got up :irked:

Women, pah, you don't know you're born till you've had a dose of man flu :D

[small]:scratchchin: Is it child abuse to let a five and seven year old to look after you?[/small]

You can't be ill on a weekend! You've broken the first rule of man flu. The second rule is that we always talk about man flu.

I recommend lying on the sofa watching films with a duvet over you. Somehow having the duvet in the wrong room seems to help.

NO, Man Flu is much worse than that, it's even worse than childbirth

Man Flu is like childbirth while you ex pulls your teeth out with plyers and your buddys think it'll be funny to give you a strong curry enema!

Oh Will Pirates of the Carribean be too strenuous during a bout of Man Flu do you think?

No spoilers!

Sounds like a sound prescription to me. Man flu also means your control over the TV is without question. These could be your precious last moments after all. You probably deserve a plate of viscounts too.

I would also conserve your energy and not attempt to cook, or go out shopping etc.

A takeaway is surely in order.

Get out and drive Man! Stop being a girl!

However my deepest sympathies if it is in fact man flu, I know how rotten it can make you feel. All the best.

Viscounts would mean shopping

Here's the real downer, it's my weekend for the kids and they are only five and seven Still, my daughters always said they want to be nurses when they grow up, what better than practising on good old dad

It's strictly help yourself pizza for tea tonight, while I curl up with the remote

This sounds serious. For the kid's sake can you get hold of an 18 year old eastern European au pair for the weekend?

That would be a most acceptable solution....

Cosmos, I'm disappointed in you. Your lack of compassion and human kindness merely backs up our observations that Man Flu is indeed much worse than childbirth

Missed the meeting

I did use my cold as an excuse to get some quality sofa time on holiday though.
