Have you ever had a dream so real, that when you woke up it was hard to convince yourself that it never happened?
This has happened twice in the last few months, one pleasant and one rather disturbing.
The pleasant one was a recurring dream, where I had the ability to fly/float above head height and always woke up feeling liberated
, but having to hold back at the top of the stairs telling myself, "No, it was only a dream!"
The disturbing one had me checking my movements, diary etc. to prove to myself that I hadn't committed a murder!!!!!
..... I was really freaked out by this dream for at least a week afterwards, before my brain put reality back in order, but initially it was only the knowledge that I do not sleep walk that I had to rely on for my sanity... it was that real!!!!

I remember two nightmares that had me wake up screaming. In the first I was running away from a murderer and crouched down in an old-fashioned phone box in an attempt to hide. Just when I thought he had shot past the door opened and he shot me in the head. I actually felt the pain and woke up in a hell of a state.
The second one was even worse. I was watching a big orange jelly-like spider making its way across the ceiling above my bed and just as it was above me it started to fall. Again, blood-curdling scream and an intensive search of my bedroom.
Last night's dream was very odd though - I lived in a ground floor flat in a large apartment complex with several blocks and the bath was on a patio outside. I was having a bath when I was aware of lots of curtains twitching so I was trying to preserve my modesty with the bubbles. Very odd.

I rang up someone once, apologising profusely for something I thought I had done that was very wrong.
It was only until the person made me explain, did I realise that I had actually dreamt it the night before, and I hadn't done what I thought I'd done in real life.
Disturbing stuff!
Also have been known to wake up talking about important information re: what's been happening in my dream, until I wake up and realise I'm not making any sense at all. Doh!

Had a similar experience abroad once.
Woke up to look down and see a HUGE cockroach crawling across my pillow. Left 6 ft in air, before grabbing torch to do a thorough search of the area within the confines of my mosquito net. Never found said cockroach, and to this day I'm not quite sure whether it was real or not.
I was on malaria drugs at the time though, and sometimes they make you have strange dreams or halucinations. I woke up twice in those few months at the end of my bed furiously trying to stamp out a match which I thought I had dropped into the bed clothes. Very surreal.
It's strange how vulnerable our subconscious minds really are, sometimes.
I sleep walk, and whenever I have a dream when I'm sleep walking the dreams feel really really real to me. Someone could tell me I'm sleepwalking now as I sit here typing on my computer at work, and I wouldn't know whether they were lying or not.
The most lucid one I've had recently was a steel girder coming out of the wall behind my bed, aimed straight for Tracksides head. He was none too pleased when I woke him up, pushing him out the way in a Bruce Willis in Die Hard type fashion!!
He wasn't too happy either when he kept telling me to wake up, I was dreaming, and I was telling him not to patronise me I was wide awake and knew EXACTLY what I was doing!!
Of course, when I did finally wake up, I apologised profusely before falling back into a deep slumber while he lay awake for most of the rest of the night (poor baby)

Best girlie excuse for misbehaviour ever

Had one the other night.
Mrs C in the kitchen. The kitchen is full of spider like creatures with tails like rats. Mrs C calmly picks some up by their tails and pops them into a cooking pot.
Bizzare or what?
Years ago I had one about a cat-humanoid monster. It started with we driving a lorry that broke down in the middle of nowhere. In the back was a giant egg. The creature hatched out of the egg and chased me. I ended up crucifying it and setting it alight with petrol that I got out of the lorry petrol tank by hacking frantically at the tank with an axe as the creature tried to pull itself free from the nails. Very scary.
Bizzare again.

I've got a few others as well unfortunately. Poor Trackside, he's so patient.
Tell you what is scary, the deja vu scenario.
The first time I ever encountered this was at grammar school.
Had a dream where we were in a chemistry lesson but in a totally different classroom from normal. Normal room not a lab, let's say it was room E2.
The teacher was asking us a question to which no-one knew the answer and he came out with a remark which was very funny, but completely out of character for him.
Remember waking up, thinking that was an odd dream, wtf was that all about then?
Fast forward quite some time later, several months.
Yes you're ahead of me here.
Sitting in E2 having a chemy lesson. Suddenly it starts to dawn on me, creepy feeling. No answer scenario, thinks and now he's gonna say "........" and he did! Word for word, exactly per the dream.
This was not a case how I understand deja vu is normally explained, that one part of the brain hears something fractionally before another part.
Happened many times since. Different dreams and scenarios obviously.
Before you ask I haven't dreamt about the 3:30 @ Kempton Park. Chance would be a fine thing.
So explain that? I can't that is for sure.

The first one is because you are dreaming about sex
The second was is because you are dreaming about sex
All dreams are about sex
Or so I have been told
Well
me
. I always dream about water well mainly having to cross a bridge or sea by boat or/and the end of the world mainly death and doom etc. (oh happy times) I have had these sort of dreams for years.
I have deja vu, too. It freaks me and it's horirble. I have scenarios where I'm sure it's not going to happen, then it eventually does, for instance - I've just fallen out with a very, very close friend and it all seems irrepairable. I had a dream about 6 months ago where we fell out and never spoke again. Unfortunaltely I haven't had the dream where we make up and things go back to how they were
I also have this absolutely horrible dream, which is reoccuring and I dream that my tooth (front) has fallen out and I will wake up and my tooth will actually hurt
most bizarre.
There's another one I keep having, but I can't remember it at all.

re: waking up screaming....
That reminds me.... a while back, I was tip-toeing around in the bedroom trying not to disturb the other half, but failed, she woke in shock, sat-up in bed screaming at me with eyes bulging (christ knows what she was dreaming about!!!!), needless to say I completely shat myself and screamed back.... after a moments silence, we both burst out laughing for the next five minutes...... still makes me laugh now
ps. I never have discussed these events with my adjoining neighbours
