So Blair's got Geldof singing his praises and he's helped to secure the Olympics for London (by beating the French, of all people). If I were his PR advisor, I'd be saying 'leave office now, while you're on a high'. Can't see it happening though, he wants Thatcher's record.

I can't really see his popularity getting any much higher tbh. even I was grudgingly impressed by his efforts in flying to singapore courting all the IOC judges then flying back to scotland to conduct the G8 combined with the presidency of the EU and the small matter of running the UK I have to admit that's not a bad show
