Not a car, but the long awaited replacement for my failed plasma arrived this morning. A shiny new Panasonic TH42PE40B courtesy of Currys. What can I say, truly amazing. I only had a few minutes to play with it before I had to come back to work.

Everything had been prepared for the new arrival. The wall bracket was hung last night, all the screws, cables and tools needed were even lined up on the carpet ready. My lounge looked like an operating theater! Ten minutes after the box came through the door she was hanging there on the wall.

A couple of minutes of MTV fed direct from my NTL cable into my Cyrus kit confirmed that this is one fabulous set up.

A huge thank you to Currys for their after sales service, and to Panasonic for making the set in the first place.

Is it home time yet? I feel the need to tweak :D

I got mine from Currys £1635. You can get them a bit cheaper, but mine was replaced out of warranty

Actually, they are really good over there at helping you to get the right set depending on what you will be feeding it with. Just a bit Panasonic biased!

In a word, yes The only thing is you would need to make sure you are pulling the bracket hard against the battens to spread the load.
