Does anybody know if the law demands you to have public liability insurance for a bonfire event and whether it's needed for a private members club?

Anybody any idea of cost?

Can you make visitors sign a disclaimer to stop them from claiming from you in the event of an accident?

You probably do need to have event insurance for public liability, and probably up to 5m pounds cover. Give Paul Hudson a tinkle - www.leisureinsure.co.uk They're the best for such things and can either do it themselves or recommend a suitable agent.
