Just got in after a drive in my friend's new car. We were driving through the village, past the shop where cars were parked on t'other side of the road. It's on a bend, so he was driving slowly.
As we rounded the bend, we saw a Mondeo coming towards us at a fair pace...said Mondeo then came on to our side of the road, steaming towards us! We expected it to pull into the first gap between the parked cars on its side of the road, but no! Driver then comes right up next to us, stops, starts waving his fist and swearing! My friend returned a little, and then we carried on driving.
That was bad enough...but then the guy got out of his car, left it in the middle of the road with his door open, and started running after us!! He was running like a bloody monkey! Soo comical, but quite scary aswell. What the hell is wrong with these people??

Strange coincidence, similar situation to me tonight. I was driving through a village along a one-way street, when some idiot (with his mate) was "driving the wrong way, towards me!" I thought he can't be serious so I carried on driving on the right hand side (which I can because it's a one-way-street) but he came right at me. I was furious, I'd just picked up my new Ford and this idiot could have wrecked it. I jumped out the car in an affort to inform the driver that he was driving the wrong way and to prevent an accident, as I did I remembered that I've still got a sore ar$ from the vindaloo the night before. Blimey, that additional friction made my eyes water!
We have a similar thing near me. It's a narrow normal road, but it's a residential main thouroughfare. The residents don't really have anywhere to park, since all of the houses were built in the 30's.
The trouble is that there is only just enough room to get two vehicles down there alongside the very long row of parked cars. The row changes side probably two or three times down the full length of the road, and each row of parked cars probably totals 35 cars.
I should think that once every two weeks one of the parked cars down there has some significant damage.
Anyway, I used to just go down there, with my right of way, i.e. no cars on my side of the road, and just keep over so that others could pass.
Over time, the problem got worse. People that take your right of way and force you into the kerb. I had my wing mirror damaged on mor than one occasion, and the offenders usually just took off.
These days, I take the whole of my right of way, and sod progress. I'll stop in such a way, as there is somewhere for the opposing vehicle to go, i.e. between the parked cars on their side of the road.
You would be utterly amazed how many people drive past the passing space, on their side of the road, and stop three feet away from your bonnet expecting you to get out of the way.
Id say it happens about once every two weeks!
