I remember hearing them for the first time in my early teens when a friend of mine loaned me their fourth album, in an effort to show me the error of my ways in listening to early 80's pop ( I was young and naive ). It was a revelation and I have not looked back since.

Amazing to think that Jimmy Page was 27 and Robert Plant only 23 when they wrote Stairway to Heaven (I know, I know, a bit cliche to use that as an example, but let's face it, it is an incredible song!)

And you look at the dross that is pumped out by the boy & girly prefab shite bands that we have nowadays and you wonder if any of them can even play a guitar, let alone write a bloody song.
