I really, really, really hope that this proves to be a load of crap. I also believe it must be.

George Best has had a terrible time in recent years (almost entirely self inflicted) but he was a hero of my youth and was one of the most gifted sportsmen these islands have ever produced.

Give the guy a break. If he's charged that's one thing but in the meantime cheap referces to Gary Glitter and Jonathan King are a bit sick.
