Mine are these:

Regardless of whether he truly was guilty or not, the jury had no choice but to acquit. It was the right verdict.

It was obvious that the accusers were not trustworthy. Therefore there was doubt, and you cannot find someone guilty in those circumstances. Eight of the jury members are parents. They heard all the evidence and they took a decision.

Jackson's career will now re-establish itself, and he will be forgiven by the masses.

But he now has to live his life very carefully, and Neverland needs to be a child-free zone for ever more.

I think he's suffering visibly from the shock of having to grow up 30 years in 14 weeks. It's sad to see such an odd public decline like this. He will needs lots of professional help now, and I'm not sure he'll agree to it.

Completely agree. Although, imagine you hadn't done anything wrong...at all. Why the hell should you change what you do? I must admitt that sleeping with a boy in your bed as a grown man and hanging out with kids are worlds apart. However, and this sounds so old hat, he really does not have what anyone would consider to be either a normal upbringing or mental state.

If you see him putting together music in the studio and performing on stage I am sure you would have a hard time believing there was anything wrong/different with Michael but....like a trained animal...that really is all he knows IMO. His life has been completely focused on music and entertaining. Being a superstar is one thing but being a megastar since being, what was it 6 years old?, is something completely different. Unable to go anywhere on the planet without being bothered and photographed. I mean, nobody is going to be normal after that...for your entire life.

Good luck to him I say.

Mixed feelings. From what ive read/seen/heard, Jackson is not a fully clued up bloke, and should have been cute to people taking advantage of him and his hospitality.

He knows the truth at the end of the day. Law is the voice of the people, Justice makes it heard. The people have spoken tonight. Thats good enough for me.

I don't think that you can make such an assertion given the verdict and that you were not privvy to all the information the jury were.

Just watching BBC News 24 - where on a slick edited report the voice over said "Michael Jackson is in debt to the tune of three million dollars."

Well done BBC for getting your facts right...

I think it was the right verdict, only the jury can be the ones to decide - we haven't seen the evidence!, no re trials no ing civic suits etc... and I think jacko should just leave it at this and no sueing bashir etc.

I also think some should ask the DA what the they were playing at spending all that tax payers money trying to prosecute someone clearly just wierd and niaive.

just my 2p

I quite agree, the guy has been found innocent. Do you know what that means?

ok, let me get this straight: a 46 year old guy who has been sleeping with children in his bed has been found not guilty?

However innapropriate, sharing a bed in a platonic sense is not illegal.

He has been found not guilty of molestation charges.

Fortunately for many, including some on this forum, total stupidity is not yet against the law.

Given the accusers' motivations and inconsistency, there was reasonable doubt, so he has been found not guilty. There is no verdict of "innocent", incidentally. We may never know if he really did it or not.

I don't believe people's upbringing or psychological damage excuses them from responsibility, even if they have extraordinary difficulty following the law because of it. I mean, no one should be allowed to roam free just because they're "not guilty due to insanity", if they are still a danger to others (meaning pedophiles who "can't help it". Still, it appears to have been difficult for the prosecutors to get conclusive evidence or consistent testimony to determine whether or not Jackson broke the law.

OK, I sounded really condemning there...

I'd like to clarify, we don't know if he really did it, and also we don't know if he's really dangerous either. If he gave alcohol to kids, well that is against the law, but they couldn't prove it. I suppose that if he were really dangerous, eventually kids would have gone missing, as has happened with the pedophiles that make the news.

I think the whole spectacle is sad, considering that he's clearly got a lot of emotional problems that have been catered to rather than delt with via counseling, etc.

'ang on a tick. Are we agreeing?

Let me clarify just in case I was only making sense to myself as I often forget to explain to others

What I meant was that to most people, hanging around with kids and doing all the charity work all over the world and having a child sleeping in your bed must seem like two completely different levels of acceptance. I mean, Mike wasn't doing a Gareth Glitter and keeping his actions undercover. I was amazed when he said on tv that he slept with children and that he sees nothing wrong with it. To me, it seemed like something very pure. This honesty is something which society lacks rather badly.

Again, hearing this, some people may just not understand in anyway whatsoever. I can understand this. However, parents sleep with their children and bloody hell, if that was grounds for criminal cases then just about every parent would be in the docks.

Again, I can understand people thinking that the children are not his so what business does he have with them sharing his bed. To this I can say that this is the way society has shaped us. To basically reject that someone might just be pure of heart. To assume that just because someone really cares about children that of course, he must be dodgey in every aspect.

If he made an attempt to hide his actions then I can understand the suspicion. He did not. He chose not to change the way he lives his life even after being taken through the tabloids the first time. Add to this that there are many parents who were completely comfortable with sending their kids to hang around with Michael.

Of course, where there is purity and naievity(sp) there will always be people waiting and ready to pounce. In this case, using their own children as pawns to make some cash and destroy a man. Whatever the mental state of Michael Jackson, I really cannot see him being able to harm anyone.

I think you miss the point.

You're talking about your own kids.....

Old Bitsa borrowed the kids of other people......

He has not been found innocent. He has been found "not guilty". Because guilty verdicts are "guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt", and there was reasonable doubt in the testimony and evidence in this case. There is no verdict of innocent in the US. It means that the evidence is (at least) inconclusive; and although some people are effectively exonerated by actually disproving accusations, Jackson's accusers weren't disproven so much as their accusations and evidence shown to be inconclusive. So they have to let him go if they can't prove that he's guilty beyond any doubt whatsoever. He may actually be innocent. Who knows. That wasn't proven either.

he ist just a big kid - he was livving the childhood he wanted und could not have because of the Jackson Five fame.

Ist a shame. Hope he gets the help he needs.

Und I think the verdict was correct too.

Not a fan. Agree he has (had?) talent. Like some of his stuff though und have one Best of compilation in our collection...

But this guy needs help und I hope he accepts the help und does not do the huffy stuff.

It's obvious to me:

don't blame it on the sunshine,
don't blame it on the moonlight,
don't blame it on the hard times,
blame it on the boogie.

As such, the boogie needs to be callled to task.
