IIRC from an early American Chopper Show OCC and Milwaukee Iron know each other well and the MI guys have jumped at a chance to get similar TV exposure.
I've only seen one Southern Chopper show (Lucas bike 2 last night) and may well get into it. Very impressed by the old guy Gary Woodford.
Skys fine, but lots of repeats, and what annoys me is that I watch "Property Ladder", which I find interesting (sad I know), but it doesnt indicate the year it was made, so property prices are hard to determing good or bad.

American Chopper scares me - that people that stupid are allowed to work on the bikes and that is the so called experts.
Great eye for design but those machines seem like death traps the way they are put together, or maybe it is just what they show on TV. Either way I find it disturbing - still watch it though

Watch carefully and see how little of the bikes OCC actually create.
They buy-in ready-made frames (mostly hardtail so no rear suspension to deal with), pre-assembled front sussies, ready-built engines, pre-formed mudguards (OK they may cut a few bits out of them
) etc. etc...then when the thing is assembled they get another guy to paint it.
Christ, even TVR had more input than that...
The water-jet profiler is a nice tool and so's the CNC mill that they do some wheel blanks with, but even then they use other guys to program the machines...

Theres certainly a lot of repeats on Sky, but the only prob I have is the ones on the Property Ladder, with no idea in which year the prog was made, you have no idea of property prices in the areas they are taken in.
