Not car related but.....

Went to buy a TV for my mum at the weekend and was told by the Oik in D-D-Dixons that I'd need to buy a digital TV or digibox to go with it (or buy a tv with a freeview box built in) because they're going to stop broadcasting analogue.

Is this true? If so, when? and anyone recommend a specific TV for circa £300.

Yep, last paragraph in this article;

www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/business/articles/timid401295?source=This%20is%20Money

"The government plans to turn off analogue signals by 2012 and progressively switch Britain over to digital TV from 2008 until then."

- Sorry I've not got any info on TV's, make sure you check Argos, Index, and www.kelkoo.co.uk/

Or alternatively, we rent our TV (and its HUGE!) - www.boxclever.co.uk/existing/whyrent/
