They've been stocking stawberries in my local supermarket recently. Picked some up, and was reminded of their subliminal qualities.

This is a reminder to those who don't normally shop for food!

I prefer them with a little sugar rather than cream. The cream dulls the taste too much. And if possible, English all the way.

In Denmark we use strawberrys in a bowl, semiskimmed milk poured on top like cereal and a sprinkling of sugar...mmmmm best of both worlds!

Great summer dish and you get strawberry flavoured milk at the end.

Heres a recipe to try if you like Strawberries & Cream (and cheesecake)

200g full fat cream cheese
200g strawberries
284ml whipped cream
tablespoon vanilla essence
sugar/substitute

Beat the cheese until its smooth (only takes a few seconds), and pour the sugar in, mixing all the time
Quarter the strawberries
Pour the vanilla into the cream, and whip cream until thick and sticky
Combine the lot, and sit in the fridge for 30 minutes

Enjoy Its basically the tasty cream on a cheesecake

Large bowl of english strawberries, a dollop of cornish clotted cream, a light sprinkling of sugar and a home meringue (with gooey centre)!

Had this yesterday, in the sun after a fabulous barbeque. Still got some in the fridge, so I reckon on the same tonight too!

Strawberries and Champagne makes me feel very cozy and relaxed.

Although the strawberries aren't entirely necessary.
