Long lost stash of cash found !
Discussion
wellll... about £30 to be exact :hehe: Having just moved home I found a Post office National Savings book that I had when I was about 10 years old. The last entry says there's approx £30 still in there and gathering interest since 1990.Problem is I seem to remember a few years back the Post Office stopped the Nation Savings scheme. So can I get my money or is it lost forever ?
Seems to still be up and running:

How do you forget about £4000?
A few years back I did a stint as Franchise Manager at an LDV outlet. Doing a fresh stocktake I found an LDV Convoy that wasnt on the books. It had been on site for years, flat tyres, battery etc. It turns out that many years ago, when it was only a year old, it had been left on sale or return, the salesman involved had left and everyone, including the owner, had just forgotten about it. I found the reg document and traced the owner and gave him a call "Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that". It was still worth several thousand quid!
