Those that know me well, will tend to tell you that I don't bother washing my car much. I subscribe to the "don't wash it,drive it," school of thought that has been espoused here a few times. My 'Teg gets washed 3-4 times a year max, normally only before a major hoon.
This weekend I really pushed the boat out, and spent about 4 hours on the old girl,(the car!!) even going to the expense of buying some of Mr Meguiars outrageously expensive (but very good) product.
After working up a good sweat, washing, polishing, clay bar and a final waxing the car was looking fantastic, only the slightly scuffed alloys letting the side down a bit. A quick oil change next, then we're ready for Le Mans.
Just as I was packing the stuff away, one of a pair of mallards that has been living in our garden recently, decided to take the mother of all craps over my shiny p&j, in a piece of low level precision bombing that would make the RAF proud.
Bonnet, roof & rear hatch, covered in the freaking stuff.
If my daughters hadn't been nearby, that bloody duck would have got both barrels and ended up on the dinner table. His days are numbered..............:shoot:

Shoot the ducks, have orange sauce ready.
I can still remember my father shooting ducks with a twelve bore from our kitchen window after seeing them depositing fertiliser on his car.
Sitting with your back to someone eating your breakfast and getting ready for school when they let off both barrels right behind you tends to stuck in the mind (like the cereal stuck to the wall)
