Before the anti downloading abuse, i'd like to say i'll be buying it on monday!

Anyway - I'm imploring you all to go and buy it, not because i'm an EMI shareholder, but because its the only album ive heard in years thats blown me away. Its simply stunning!Sounds incredibly anthemic and individual while subtly nodding at the sounds of R.E.M, U2 at the same time; its better than either bands efforts. Ignore the 'bland' label given to it by journos at the Guardian and so on. Its a work of art.

Good to hear... Of course they also give a fair proportion of thier profit to various worthwhile causes.

BUY IT. Not heard it yet, but from what I have heard - it needs to be done. Have resisted downloading it so far... either way I will happily purchase the album.

Just downloaded it. Will have a good listen tomorrow. If it's exceptional i might ponder buying it, but i'd much ratehr buy a CD from someone who actually needs the cash rather than adding one millioonth of a % to Chris and gwyneth's fortune.

I will also be buying it as soon as possible. I used to hate Coldplay, but then I heard Yellow lots of times and bought both their albums. I can't wait for X&Y. I've heard Speed of Sound a couple of times and I really like it.

It just makes me sick to see that decent music like this is beaten in the charts bya crazy fing frog, who goes ba ding ding ding ding .....

Nah - Coldplay will have received so much publicity from that little debacle! I'm seeing them on the fourth of july, gutted that the support are elbow who are musical excrement - interpol are supporting elsewhere which would just be stunning!

Got an email from amazon in the early hours of this morning saying that they have dispatched X&Y to me Having ordered it on 1st Feb I cant wait. Have been listening to some of it from the Radio 1 coldplay day, sounds absolutely stunning - apparently the bonus track is faaaantastic too!
