Spotted.... Hunter in the skies

The destinctive noise of a classic jet had me peering skyward yesterday, to be treated to a couple of flyovers by the Hunter from Exeter airport.

These planes sound so sweet and has a perfectly proportioned look that you just cannot beat. Lovely to see it airborne. :D

Mmmmmmmm the Hunter is the definitive Fighter Jet plane. It just looks so right.

I don't know why - it just is. And, BBC people, the name for aeroplanes that carry people around is not "passenger jet", it is "airliner".

Yes they flew over us as well - Aldington in Kent.

Saw some sort of spitfire-esque plane from a distance, couldn't make out what it was though, too far away. That was over swindon heading north-west ish.

Oi! I was just merely pointing out there was some sort of ww2 military fighter about, on the same day quite a few other nice planes are spotted. I am actually fairly sure it was a spitfire, but if I said that, no doubt someone would say "are you sure?!?!?!??!" Can't win nowadays

Saw the Hunter over Portsmouth on Saturday too, heading East. Lovely noise, took me back to the 70's when it was a regular occurence around these parts
