Just saw this film last night and it is a gripping well acted thriller, though perhaps with limited replayability.

Watch out for Meryl Streep, she is very chilling.

I saw this when in Blockbusters the other day, for some reason didn't go for it... may try it out next time I am there then

Im not watching it purely because when I see the title I cant help reading 'the mancunian candidate', and imagining some dirty northener trying to get elected or something :P

I thought it was fairly average, then went back and rented the original (with O' Blue Eyes) which I'd never got round to seeing.

That was much better, IMHO.

I went to Manchester the other day, and kept looking out for Manchurian way to find my mate's flat! I knew he was near Chinatown, so it sort of made sense!

I remember watching it and enjoying it. Can't remember why, but remember being let down by the ending too.
