How to quit with style...
Discussion
This email was just sent to our company worldwide (approx 25,000 employees) by a soon to be ex-employee in the USA...

What can I say? Given the choice to get paid working for (manager's name) and the choice of getting paid to NOT work for (manager's name), I am overjoyed to say I chose the latter. I will take one month off to vacation and upon my return start my new position with a (company) partner with offices in San Francisco. Although I am leaving for now, our paths will most certainly cross.
It was a pleasure working with you all. Remember this "Good employees don't leave companies, they leave bad managers".
On this note, be well and hang in there team! Your day will come!

Best Regards,
I sent a similar one a few years ago after being made redundant. They kept on all the tw@ts who had crept round the boss and hilariously the ones who had been bragging about the huge pay out they would get also were retained because they were too expensive to pay off...

I posted this once before, but since we're talking about resignation letters, this is one that someone at the company sent a couple of months ago when they left....

Dear Company,
Anyone not expecting to receive this email either doesn’t know me very well or hasn’t been listening.
Twenty-seven years must be enough for Gods sake; I’ve done the work, been paid the money we’re straight. And notice is herein given. Thanking everyone at The Company for the last 5 years.
It must be time to force a change, to abandon this culturally moribund anachronistic twaddle.
So: I have decided to leave these shores, to leave behind the chasing of irrelevant capitalist trinkets and to live a more rewarding peripatetic existential lifestyle. To wander the darkest deepest forests of Thailand. Maybe to take a second wife, a dutiful beautiful Thai temptress or two, in a Gauguinesque manner for the 21st century.
To live out my days painting, writing, walking on powder white beaches in a land where some of my erections are paid for. And my future toils will have an order of permanence, not ending up as an ephemeral pile of wet chipboard.
To be forever fulfilled, surrounded by young women to take at my command and holes of choice.
And remember:
‘All that glistens is not gold’
I fear this may not cater for the non-aesthetes amongst us.
I pray ignorance personified spares me redundant questions.
Any doubts then read it again.
Love ****
