Very happy with my Garmin Quest. But if you are going to buy one, make sure you get one with the latest software availble (whatever that is).

Wading throught he bumpf at the mo, as its taken over the lighter socket, is it worth hard-wiring the RA in, or does garmin pick up camera sites as well ?

Garmin doesn't do camera points. I think there is a site TomTom users can download this info for their machines. Don't know if this costs anything or if the databse is kept upto date.

I would guess if you go the garmin route you'd have to hardwire the RA in as you can't hardwire the Garming in due to the speaker mounted on the adapter.

Finished reading the manual now, phew.
was reading the threads on here today as well, had a look at the inside of RA spare lead, and since it's got no, regulating components,
(beside a small resistor for LED)
It shouldent be too hard, to thread a wire through the dash somewhere, and have it on with the key.
now Daz, whats the easiest garmin way of adding say, a village name as the destination each time UK

Are you on about setting your home location? For the hlding the find button in tirck to take you home?

Or finding a random village. In which case you just do a search under cities.

If the above sounds a bit vague it's because I don't use it much in the UK. It tend to use it when in Europe be programming my route/waypoints on my PC and copying them over.
