Racist or funny
Discussion
Seriously, I laughed at this so does it make me a racist or is it just funny?
True story -
A mate recently joined a group of 4 or 5 of us in a pub. We sat drinking.
One of our group remarked on the new arrival having some of these 'trendy' rubber bands on his wrist. They were black and white.
When questioned what the bands were for, he replied by explaining they were designed to voice support against racism.
He was then questioned where he got them from, to which he responded, 'some paki off the market.'
So, racist or funny?

Yes, it's hilarious. One could argue that the anti-racism black and white bands are racist themselves, for not including....red and yellow!!! Sorry.
This reminds me of a song we used to sing in Sunday School, many many years ago: "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world: red, and yellow, black, and white, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world." It was supposed to be anti-racism, but now, referring to groups as colors would probably raise some hackles. Did anyone else have to go to Sunday school and sing this? I am not making it up. It's a real song.
