Help me, I'm confused
Discussion
I like having a bit of political debate on here, but one thing really puzzles me.
On the whole, it seems most people who come on this site hate Labour, hate Blair, hate the lies and the spin and so on.
Then on the other hand we might be debating European issues. Many come on here to slate europe and the eu etc, quoting statistics on how well the UK is doing and how the EU is sliding down the pan.
Thing is, the UK figures come from the hated labour government. How come the UK can be a shithole under labour one minute, and then suddenly is place of great economic efficiency with low unemployment and is generall a much better place to live than France, Italy germany etc the next?
One minute there are great suspicions over satistics quoted by labour, then the next the same figures are being quoted to show how much better than Europe we are?
What's going on?

Yeah, but things could be SO much better! I was also thinking that considering most of us are Tory's and therefore perceived to be right wing, are actually far more liberal than Labour, lib dems AND the EU! Think about the WTD and all the other civil liberties issues, and freedom of choice issues that are cropping up... The same way Americans complain about what a toilet the US is becoming, then look at some place like, I dunno, Somalia, and tell you that we're in the best country in the world. We're afraid of things changing for the worst, and especially afraid that such changes will be irreversible. Though we have it pretty good, we'll complain about what's comparatively minor (on a global scale) as though to stave off a descent into a much worse situation.
Just wait another 6 months...
The economy won't be so rosey, and everyone will hate Labour. They've inherited a decent economy and a pot of cash from the Conservatives. The pot is almost empty, and they've employed approx 850,000 in non-jobs.
Somethings gonna give, and it's gonna hurt someone...
