Paris in august - what to do?

So what's there that I don't know of? I'm going with my college's and the agenda's I browsed are not particulary exciting . . . Last visit about 7 years ago . . .

Please help me out on new stuff, restaurants, exhibitions, architecture, unknown hot spots etc. Thanx.

Spend at least a day at Le Louvre.

The missus and I were there a few weks ago - they have just opened the new Mona Lisa gallery.

You could also visit some of the Da Vinci code locations. :smile:

Catacombs , only open a few hours two days a week but great alternative fun, more so if you can get into one of the underground underground groups lol.

Rodin museum, small but very good.

Checkout Versei too.

Why no Louvre? It's one of the greatest museums and art galleries in the world, even though it is in in France.

If you like watches (as I do) a stroll down to Le Place de Vendome is great for an hour or two gogling at the £100,000 Pateks, Rolexes, Blancpain, Franck Muller etc.

Even my missus who is not a watch fiend was impressed.

Rodin musee I know and I love it. Picasso museum is also nice . . . Louvre / Versailles are just too big. I used to hop in the Orangerie from 16 to 17 hrs . . . Just to avoid the long queues.
