Contacting Parcelfarce
Discussion
Each time I have the bad fortune to have a parcel delivered by Parcelforce something goes wrong, always!
And each time I get even more frustrated when trying to actually speak to someone. They make it more and more difficult each time.
Do companies not get it that automated call systems are the most anooying customer alienating thing on this planet?
Has anyone got a call centre number for PF????

The automated number you've got should eventually get you through to an operator. Just don't choose any options when you phone, you'll get through to a voice straight away.
That is unless your Parcelforce delivery was booked over t'internet, then the people on the phone can't access the same database and you have to do it all by email (or post, as I am currently doing!)

Staff do. Management don't. Same with music on hold...
I rang Metronet (my broadband provider, not the [anti-privatisation rant snipped] Tube operator of the same name) about something or other... gave up because the call queueing was pissing me off too much and emailed them instead. They rung me back! Top marks for service there. The guy who rung me said he thought the call queueing sucked as well but the management wouldn't listen to him - pity.
As for Parcel farce - here in Bedford, if you're not in when they try to deliver - which of course most people aren't - they take it back to the depot and think they've done the job. The depot is in Milton Keynes. Now to me "delivered" means to the door. Not to somewhere else that necessitates a 40-mile round trip, which I consider to be taking the piss.
OK, the back road route is a good ride, but that's not the point...
