Average flat price in Kensington, London

Moving along from multiplying money thread.
Just wondering what the average price of a 3 bedroom flat in Kensington is going for. Between High Street Ken and Notting Hill Gate.
Thinking about spending a lot more time back home as opposed to the 4
6 days I've done in the last 365! I would definately buy another property to rent out if I make the move.

Huge range of prices from £400,000 upwards into 7 figures. Have a look at www.primelocation.com for a seacrh.

Christ! I have been away a while. I am in danger of being priced out of my own postcode!
So very tempting to take the cash you have to fork out on a poxy little place and get a very large, very nice pad in Rio after seeing that.

Well, currently spend most of my time in the airport but apart from that NY, LA, HK and Sao Paulo.
Getting a bit homesick of late and reading about you lucky beggars roaring around in your motors adds to it.
LA - everything too far apart, traffic is a joke and full of Yanks.
NY - roads are a disaster, too many try-hards trying too damn hard, tipping for everything, prices are stupid in Manhattan and it's full of Yanks or people that now have a Yank twang in there accent.
Sao Paulo - All the cars I like are so completely over priced, service is rather suspect, roads are insane where they intersect and they meet at a 35 degree+ angle! People getting kidnapped too much now it is getting silly.
Hong Kong - love it, very small, again, car prices are silly unless it's a used 355, any/everything you do is known because it is like living in a giant gossip magazine.....trust me...I am in so much poop right now for things I didn't do
So, yes, home is looking very inviting

Property prices in London, as well as the UK generally, are ridiculous.
There are somtimes properties listed on www.findaproperty.co.uk that aren't on primelocation.

www.hamptons.co.uk/ are probably you best bet on a search. Just had a quick look they have 200 properties in the Kensington area from £158,000 to £25,000,000. So cater for all markets

Haha, yes, perhaps.
Oh, there are a load of good Yanks out there I know. However, for every good one I encounter, I meet 3 who just cement the belief that the rest of the world has about the buggers.

Oh, I live in a house by the way. The problem with buying another house on the same road or area is that it has 5 floors and will cost double that cost of an F1, 250GTO, Koenigsegg, Veyron, F40, Enzo, F50 put together - just to keep it car related
Houses of high value, unlike flats in the area are somewhat difficult to rent as the annual rent is about a third of most mortgages. People who rent very rarely go for something this size and I for one would rather not sit on an empty house. I'd rather have 16 £500k flats and fill my petrol tanks with the monthly income.
Unless things have changed that dramatically since I was last home and there is now a long line of Saudi nationals lining up to blow £15k+ a month on rent......I'll stick with flats ta.
