Soldier families to sue Blair - Utter nonsense!

Regardless of whether you agree with what Blair did or not, this seems utterly ludicrous to me.
If you join the army you receive training, pay, pension and are looked after during your working life. Same with the other armed forces.
In return you agree to risk your life when called upon to do so in military action.
You don't get to choose - that is not your right.
When you join up you accept the benefits and the possible risks. If you don't ever want to see military action, or run the risk of injury, then don't join.
I come from a largely military family, (I didn't join up though), and they say the same. Ultimately Governments take the decision to wage war, the services are there to carry it out as effectively as possible.

I think we should ignore such talk about war being illegal or legal-that is BBC speak.
If a war is voted for by a majority of the house of commons it is legal, regardless of the views of a grouping of mainly despotic states known as the UN-which the BBC seems to regard as the guardian of the worlds morals.

Why?? do you think these families are ignoring it? the decision was made to go to war and that should have been the end of it but no its nearly election time so the opposition make this an issue yet again to get one over on bliar so why are these families to blame when its the politicians/press that have put the doubt of legitimacy into their minds and lessened what the british forces have and continue to achieve in iraq.
I'd actually say that half of your responses are complete bollox.
The big difference between this time and the first time was that first time round we had the backing of the UN plus an alliance with dozens of other countries including many arab ones, and we had a clear mandate and most importantly we were given the time to train and equipment needed being going to do the job. This time that lieing slippery shite that is our Prime Minister fannyed about, lied, delayed and dithered right up till the last moment then effectively asked oooops sorry TOLD a cash starved armed forces whos own bosses were shouting "we're not ready" to do a job with no clear aim.
Up untill the day we walked onto Iraqi soil, training budgets were denied, desperatly needed equipment was not avaliable, and then bang at the last minute the troops were shipped off to do the best job they could with both hands tied behind their backs by bean counting penny pinching civil servants who were skint because Liar and his partner in crime Chubby Brown wouldn't give them any money.
In my opinion if these families succceed in their claims then good on them, maybe atleast there is a slim chance that someone in government will sit up and say "do you know we've paid out £xxx million in claims to dead or wounded soldiers familes who died because we didn't give them the kit or training they wanted and needed" oh but look "we did save £x million by not letting them waste amunition training or giving them the right kit"
