My football boots need gluing as the instep is coming away from the sole.

Ordinarily I would use Evo stick, but is there anything better? It needs to be flexible, but also strong, I don't want to have to shell out on £160 for new boots if I can help it!

Don't know if it's sold in the U.K. or not but I've used Goop marine glue to glue shoes and ski boot liners back together. It's a silicone based glue so it dries flexible and it's paint-able.

Check your local hardware or auto parts store.

£160 boots

Surely at that price you should take them to a cobblers and they'll stick it down properly.

unless of course your match is today and the cobblers is shut

My God Muncher, you're a tolerant lad.
If my climbing boots split like that, I'd be on Watchdog!!
Take them back and tell them you want a new pair or you'll report them to David Beckham!

One pair are a couple of years old, the other pair, a season old, no chance of any refunds!
