Yep, I bought the album on the back of that JH appearance.
The first time ever on tv and she rocked. I loved the look of utter embarrassment and shame on the other performers faces - stayed on the Sky+ box for quite a while.
I think the album does have some weak and mundane repititous songs, which is a shame because I think she's capable of much, much more. Oddly enough, her rendition of Black Horse on JH sounded better to me than the album version? May be it's over produced and she should have done the whole thing live with sequencers?

You'll find myself and neil.b are fairly large fans of a certain Kt as well
I saw her on Jools Holland as well and was simply blown away. It then became apparent she was playing Newcastle the following night to promote said album in a little coffee shop and I managed to get tickets (crap pictures here). She played all the stuff herself using her "little Chinese box" aka a Akai HeadRush and was pretty much awesome.
Then she came and sat at the only free table in the joint (mine) and proceeded to sign CD's and chat to everyone. Really nice lass in that respect.
However, the album I have features Black Horse and The Cherry Tree as a direct rip from JH and it's by far one of the better tracks on the album, when I heard the radio edit I nearly crashed the car as it is just so bad in comparison. It still has all the elements of the original, but instead of hearing the song been built up and all those little hooks in the background it's a "proper" song and now seems a miss-match of a load of different, crap sections.
Saying that, I have tickets to see her live again on May 24th so that'll be nice.

Yep
And yes, BH&CT "proper" version is terrible.
Somebody told me something about restrictions regarding the release of live version of songs as an "A side" which might explain the edited version - she's probably not allowed to release the JH version on its own.
My favourite track of hers is not on the album - "Throw Me A Rope" - its one of the most beautiful lyrics I've probably ever heard. It was on the first EP she released. First time I saw her live she played it as an encore. It was one of those moments....

Neil do you always recommend tracks you can't here anymore

btw, Paul Curreri has not only gone down a treat in my house, but some neighbours borrowed the CD's and love them as do most of my mates. Top find!
I can send it to you if you like....let me know. Did you manage to get "From Long Gones"?

If at all possible, could you send it to me to? my inbox is pathetic - so email me and I can add you to messenger and do a direct transfer that way?? Or if Docevil doesnt mind I'll add him and get it sent over??
Heal over is just beautiful though

It was pretty heavily edited for the album much to her regret. I cant help but leave "heal over" on repeat - gorgeous...
Im not to keen on that track but 'Universe And U' with the base turned up does it for me as long distance driving song
*Note: dont be fooled that you have something dodgy going on in the engine bay becuase of the vibrating base tone

I'm afraid that KT has now sold out to the masses and her recent tracks are nothing near as good as her debut album ![]()
Crying shame, but thats what happens with fame I guess.
The Eye to the Telescope album is in my top five for this year.
