Fan-bl00dy-tastic. Been a long time coming but we really deserved it this season - lets see what Man U, Arsenal & (insert club name here) can serve up next season. Have a feeling we're in for the long haul 
Plaudits to Terry, Lamps & Cech of course but also to the unsung hero of the Chelsea ranks: Claude Makalele - we are simply a better team with him, he is just brilliant, after a slightly shaky start last season he has grown in confidence and become absolutely the mainstay of our primary defence. Awesome player and I'm certain Real Madrid are missing him, finding that Tommy Graveson is no substitute

I don't mind a bit of celebration, but when their team won ten minutes ago and the stupid tw@ts are now shouting at the match highlights, I wish they'd shut up.
And grow up.
On the telly, one player threw his shirt in to the crowd at the end of the game...
A bunch of grown men fighting over another mans sweaty tee shirt just isn't right...

Many congratulations to Chelsea. I am reminded of the last two teams to break the recent domination of the premiership with the aid of either a generous benefactor or otherwise funded massive investment, with the castle of sucess build on sand not stone. Err, who were they again? Oh yes, Leeds Utd and Blackburn Rovers.
Just hope that nothing external affects Mr Abramovich. Hate to see Chelsea relegated in the next five years, after all....

I am pretty ambivalent to football - but Chelsea's "win" strikes me thus:
It is an utterly hollow victory in the sense that any club could have done what they have done given the financial resources they have.
Roman Abramovich effectively bought the Premiership, that's all.
Simple as that.
Or am I wrong?

Yes. The balance sheets of Arsenal & Man Utd (and looking abroad, AC Milan, Real Madrid etc...) will show many, many millions of pounds being spent purchasing players to help create their respective successes. Other than the timescale of the expenditure I fail to see how this differs from Chelsea? (Other than the fact that so many opposition fans - despite wishing it had been their club - are simply bitter about the situation).
That's how most success in football comes anyway, by money! The better you get, the more cash you bring in, the more players you can buy who are better therefore making your team better! Man U and Arsenal are cases in point.
Chelsea just did it a very quick way, remember when Jack Walker bought the league for Blackburn in 1995, that's the same theory!

Perhaps, but you know as well as I do that whoever actually did manage to grab it is more likely to be sleeping with it under his pillow than even thinking of selling it.

Not necessarily so, Middlesborough have invested over £165 million over the oast 5 seasons and have only delivered an FA cup and a mediocre run in the UEFA.
Spending millions on a squad does not guarantee results as you still have to play 38 games just like the other 19 teams in the league. Without focus, motivation, determination and luck you can't win the league whoever you may be

It shouldn't go unnoticed that the two best players in the league - as voted by other players - both play for Chelsea, Lamps costing a mere £11m (value must be well north of £20m now) and JT a home grown product of the youth system. Without the right people in place, it's impossible to win anything - the vast majority of pundits didn't think it'd be possible for us to do what we have done this season under the premise that it takes time to make a team work. It just so happens that we went and chose the best man for the job and he's delivered.

Let's not forget Cech's contribution, 1,024 minutes without conceding a goal in the league, 27 clean sheets and also being shortlisted for the Player's Player of the Year award. He saved us on several occasions.

Mourinho did say at the beginning of the season that giving a manager time to sort his team was the biggest falacy in management football. Loads of other managers scoffed at this and a certain red faced hairdrier was waiting for him to fall on his sword, which he predicted would happen a Christmas.
