He is a businessman who is very exposed to government regulation.

He is also an ardent Republican - hence the support for a party least inclined to keep the Monachy.

Well he can go and live in a country without one then!
I can quite imagine a slimy Alistair Campbell-type taking Murdoch to one side and offering him a suitcase full of money/bribes if he'll back them.

Sad fact of the matter is that Murdoch probably has more direct influence than the incumbant government.

He's also pretty much sewn up the satellite TV market. The last thing he wants is the bone idle of society not being able to afford to sit in front the goggle box all day.

On that point Daz, we have found that socio dem groups D&E would rather buy cheaper food than expose themselves to no Sky TV.

Astonishing really and a rather sad reflection...

..now that is sad. !

personally I've never had Sky TV and don't intend to.. There's enough rubbish streamed into my house via the normal means, without investing money on wasting more of my life in front of the Telly.

Last night.. 8pm-8.45pm I was enjoying the sensations of sunset and the countryside on the fully interactive "walking the dog" channel.

It depends what you like on TV-if you are a sci-fi fan you get all the latest American TV series.

If you like watching girls dance around with little on-there is the music channels.

I love Mr Murdoch, he gives me lots of work. Long may he be successful in business tbh.
