Hmmm, depends on what your basing the question..
personally, as I'm right handed, I went for left arm first, easier to care for, less likely to pick all the scabbing off with your shirt.. etc etc etc...

Right arm in my case.
Only have the one at the moment (soon to be two) - its there as a reminder and works very well when I'm planning something stupid
Personaly it means a lot to me and was definately not done for 'fashion' reasons, if your planning one as a fashion accesory it might be worth considering it a bit more carefully.

No the world is made up of lots of different kinds of people. Some of them have tattoos, when they get older they look a mess and if they are visible it stops them from getting on the PTA commitee or the school governers and in some cases getting the job. They rarely become magistrates or councillors either. Its a badge of dissadvantage, particularly for women. All IMO of course and as I simply dont get the reason why some smudgy drawing is so appealing, I would genuinely like to be enlightened.

I have no desire to do stuff like the above! I'm 35 now, have 2 tattoos (got left arm done first in answer to the thread question, and I'm left handed)the first of which I had done at 18 and got my back done a few years ago plus I have 9 piercings.
It's all about doing what we want as individuals. I've never been one for liking normality in life. I have no real desire to follow the path most think we should take. I don't care how I am perceived by the outside world either.

Individuality and the desire to feel unique.
If you dont know your own mind, are unable to make choices and live with them or lack confidence in your own decisions then probably a tattoo is not for you....
if you are the opposite however then why do you think you would ever regret it?
As for them indicating the economically disadvantaged - well that is just another case of stereotyping that pi$$es so many people here off when they go to their Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo dealer in jeans and only to have the salesman look down their noses because he thinks that they could never afford one. Good to see good old middle class snobs are still alive and well in the UK
