It's been a while boys and girls... what watches are people interested in at the moment?

And before people start moaning... if you think £3k or something on a watch is a waste... DON'T BLOOMING POST!!

Right... I used to be a Rolex Daytona man, but being 6ft3 i'm after something a bit bigger. Current fav watch is the Breitling Bentley LeMans.

Do you often use the vernier scale?

I'm guessing it comes with a built in magnifying glass!

It was aimed at the Breitling... its some aeronautical thingy.

And no... I haven't a clue how it works and would never use it. It just looks good.

A watch thread?! Nice!

I'm after an IWC 5002, Jeager Le Coultre Master Compressor, Breitling Navitimer, Panerai Luminor GMT, TAG V4 and Calibre 360, Breguet Skeleton Tourbillon, Vacheron Ultraslim, Patek Calatrava and a few more I can't think of off the top of my head right now.

Navytimer for me please.

Mind you, I hardly wear a watch these days. Had a VERY nasty accident while working on a car a long time ago, involving a metal strap and a vein/artery thingy.

Any one want to buy a

Cartier Santos with all the papers. Worn 3 or 4 times

Gucci G watch with all the papers.

1990's White face Omega Speedmaster with all the papers.Slight mark on face

Rolex Oyster Chronograph with all the papers.

All are in very nice condition although the flat plate on the Rolex has a few scratches on

Waste not want not.

A nice decent £10 Casio watch is all you need.

Ok, you folks seem to know your watches, so....

Cannot anyone point me in the direction a watch that has dual display (analogue and digital) and has a (simple to use) feature whereby I could freeze the time of day on the digital display and return to realtime simply aswell? By way of explanation, some of you may know that I'm a rally co-driver, and I'd really like a decent looking watch with the above feature, because, at the end of a stage all I'm particularly interested in is what time I crossed the line as this is the piece of information written on my time card by the officials. I can do the sums and work out how long it took us during the road sections.

Before anyone mentions nav devices (Brantz, Terratrip etc) I've got all those, and a stop watch with the above feature. I just want a nice watch that does this, I don't care what it costs, but I sure as hell ain't wearing no tat on my wrist, and don't mention the ugliness incarnate that is the co-drivers watch marketed by AST, I wouldn't be seen dead in it!

Any suggestions?

My dad collects watches and is currently looking to invest in a Glashutte Panomatic Lunar, which I think is a beautiful watch. Having trouble finding one though - anyone know anywhere?

Ooh! Suits me sir!

However, other current ones in my collection include a Rolex GMT Master II, an Omega Speedamster Professional Moon Watch (with the crystal back), An Omega Seamsater Bond Watch, and assorted other Omegas, Eterna's, Mystery watches, an Invicta Meteorite Dial, and this one (which is possibly the most unusual watch I have ever seen:

(and I second the author of this threads message - if you don't like/understand the purchasing of expensive watches - don't post!)
