Discussion
On Sunday I thought I would get in the spirit of summer and get the old BBQ out for supper. Keen as mustard I roled out a nice pice of lamb, minted it and consumed it - only problem was that i ate it a bit too soon, I haven't kept anything down since Monday morning.
(sorry, too much information)
So the question - What is the best thing to BBQ, any more unusal yet tasty selections for the table?

Bananas (odd but it works, well)
Saw Nigela Lawson do Pinaple on the BBQ, just dusted with a little demerea sugar before going on and a dip in choc sauce after.
Did chicken, pepper & onion kebabs under the grill last night, they go well on the BBQ and don’t take long to cook
Go to a proper butcher
Get a leg of lamb, get the butcher to bone it and bash it flatish (it'll come out about a foot square and 2/3 inches thick)
Marintate for a couple of hours in olive oil, garlic red wine, rosemary, maybe a bit of tomato puree
Bung on a barbie for 20-25 minutes each side, basting with the marinade

On the subject of home made BBQ sauce.
Get 4 chicken breasts and sling them in a lasagne dish.
Liberally cover with tomato ketchup.
Pour over coca cola so it covers the ketchup coated chicken to the depth of about 1cm
Sling it in the oven on 200 for about 40 minutes until the coke has evaporated.
The best BBQ chicken you can prepare without a pit.
